Privacy statement
SBC International CommV is the controller of the personal data you provide to us through this website or by email. We process that data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What data
When you contact us, book a meeting or complete the Direction Scan, we process your name, organisation, job title, email address, phone number, your website address, your answers and the content of your message, as well as the IP address from which the request was sent. When you use the chat on this website, we keep the conversation and the page on which it took place, without your name or IP address. If you become a client, we also process the data required for invoicing and payment.
Why
- To answer your question and prepare an introductory meeting (legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures).
- To analyse your Direction Scan answers and the public information on your website and send you a report on them (pre-contractual measures).
- To perform an agreement with you (performance of a contract).
- To comply with our legal obligations, such as accounting (legal obligation).
- To ensure the operation and security of this website (legitimate interest).
Artificial intelligence
For the chat, the analysis of the Direction Scan and of your website, and the reports after a meeting, we use language models from Anthropic (Claude). The necessary data is passed to Anthropic for this purpose. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use that data to train its models.
Meetings via Microsoft Teams
A Direction Call takes place via Microsoft Teams. A meeting is only recorded or transcribed if you have expressly agreed to this in advance. We use the transcript to prepare the report of the meeting.
How long
We keep data from a contact request that is not followed up for no more than two years. We keep data required for accounting for as long as the law requires.
Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers who assist us, and only to the extent necessary: Hostinger (the server on which this website and our applications run), Microsoft (email, calendar and Teams), Anthropic (language models), our accountant and our accounting software.
Outside the European Union
Anthropic is based in the United States. Appropriate safeguards apply to that transfer, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise these rights, send an email to info@sbc-international.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
AI Opportunity Scan
For the AI Opportunity Scan, the controller is SBC International CommV (BE 0769.605.324, Opperhofdreef 10, 9160 Lokeren, Belgium). We process your contact details (name, company, job title, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number), your answers, the IP address of the request and the public text of the website you enter.
- Purpose. Preparing your report and sending it to you automatically by email, following up with you on the result and pre-qualifying your request internally.
- Legal basis. The performance of the service you request and your consent via the consent box. For the follow-up and the internal pre-qualification: our legitimate interest.
- AI analysis. The analysis is carried out with language models from Anthropic (Claude), acting as processor. Anthropic is based in the United States. The standard contractual clauses of the European Commission apply to that transfer. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use data received through its API to train its models.
- No automated decision-making. The score in the report is indicative. No decision that produces legal effects for you or similarly significantly affects you is based on it. Every next step is taken by a person.
- Retention. Two years after the request, after which the data is erased. We erase the IP address after thirty days.
- Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, objection and withdrawal of your consent at any time, via info@sbc-international.eu. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
Cookie policy
This website places no cookies and uses no tracking, advertising or visitor statistics. The fonts are hosted on our own server; no third-party files are loaded. In your browser we only store your language choice, the ongoing chat conversation and, if sending a form fails, a copy so it can be retried later. That data stays on your device.
